FAQ on coverages related to COVID-19 and vaccination

For Hospitalization & Surgical Expenses, Repatriation Expenses, Clinical Expenses, Replacement Expenses and Temporary Worker Subsidy Cover, infectious disease including COVID-19 is not excluded by the policy of Domestic Worker Insurance. Should there be a claim arising from COVID-19, we will process it according to policy wordings.

There is no exclusion against vaccination under the Hospitalization & Surgical Expesnses section in the policy wording of Domestic Worker Insurance. If the hospitalization is considered by a registered medical practitioner to be caused directly by the vaccination, the policy shall provide cover under this section and we will process the claim according to the policy terms and conditions.

We will rely on the information on medical certificates or reports as well as the claim form submitted to us to determine the coverage.

However, exceptions apply to any loss arising from vaccination, immunization, injections or preventive medication (please refer to Exceptions To Section VII, policy wording of Domestic Worker Insurance). Therefore it will be excluded if there is any indication of loss due to vaccination in the documents mentioned above.
