MEDIA RELEASE

For Immediate Release

HONG KONG – March 22, 2013 – “Mission Possible”, a charity initiative launched by The Peter Bennett Foundation, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union, and with the support of Holiday Inn and Links Concept Fine Wines, will host a private box at the Rugby 7s from 3:30PM today until 7:30PM on Sunday to fundraise and promote the need to address Hong Kong’s social issues.

Many activities will take place over the course of the weekend, with a number of Hong Kong figures visiting the Mission Possible private box. Financial Secretary Mr. John Tsang will be at the box at 11:30AM on Saturday during the Po Leung Kuk children’s party to show his support. The children come from the Special Needs Programme of Po Leung Kuk, one of four beneficiaries of Mission Possible. For the first time at the 7s, the children will participate in the parade with their guardians at 2:00PM.

In addition, Douglas Whyte, Hong Kong’s top-ranked jockey, will spend time in the box on Saturday and has generously donated a number of his racing memorabilia for charitable auction. Rugby stars such as Fijian Waisale Serevi, Ben Gollings, and members of the Hong Kong team and various rugby legends will also visit the box to give their backing to Mission Possible.

“I am humbled and thrilled by the amount of support Mission Possible has received,” said Peter Bennett. “From the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union to Financial Secretary Mr. Tsang, we are showing that our community can be more aware, inclusive and philanthropic to those less fortunate than many of us here today.

Mission Possible has also received wide support from corporations, such as American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), who is the charity’s Diamond Corporate Donor, contributing a total of HK$500,000 to support four charities nominated by Mission Possible.

“We are glad to partner with Peter Bennett Foundation which supports the community in which we live. Mission Possible provides a meaningful association between the Rugby Sevens, charitable awareness and giving,” said Mr. Marc Breuil, President and CEO of AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited.

“I am proud to have the support of AIG for Mission Possible,” said Peter Bennett. “We believe that by working together with leading businesses, such as AIG, we can help solve some of Hong Kong’s most pressing issues”.

Other corporate sponsors of Mission Possible include Crosby, LIM Advisors, Double Haven, and Schroders.

Mission Possible seeks to raise awareness of the difficulties facing less fortunate individuals and families in Hong Kong and to actively pursue meaningful collaboration with the Cathay Pacific / HSBC Rugby 7s participants to encourage social responsibility. The initiative primarily focuses on social issues related to children, youth, elderly and food availability.

One hundred percent of all proceeds collected from box seat donations, merchandise sold, and other in-box fundraising activities will go directly to support four Hong Kong charities: the Po Leung Kuk Special Children Development Fund, Community Chest Rainbow Fund, Foodlink Foundation, and the Lighthouse Club Hong Kong Benevolent Fund.
